Why do dementia patients keep on asking the same question again and again?
Sometimes it’s really irritating for us caregivers.
Actually, they’re not asking the same question because they want to know the answer. They’re asking the question because they have insecurities.
They have fear within themselves. I know it’s really irritating that you have already answered the question, but sometimes you have to be in their position.
To be in their shoes. To know what’s going on.
People with dementia, they forget everything and they want to know what’s going on, and they have this fear.
If your loved ones or your patients ask you the same questions, you can reassure them that you are there to take care of them.
