Our inspiration for creating this book was when we saw a message from someone asking how they explain Alzheimer’s Disease to a child.

So we worked with countless caregivers and parents from our Alzheimer’s Support group on Facebook to create this book. We asked them what kind of a story it should tell and how they want expectations set for someone living with Alzheimer’s Disease. This is definitely an amazing book that will help you explain Alzheimer’s Disease to a child or teen.

The book contains 24 beautifully made pages. We use a metaphor that memories are pieces of candy in a candy shop but a mean monster sneaks in and starts eating them slowly. This causes Grandma to forget. You have to read the rest of the story as it definitely ends on a beautiful note that will bring a tear to your eye.
